Ihre Aufgaben

The Role

We’re looking for a people-focused Machine Shop Team Leader to lead a small team of 4 in a busy manufacturing environment. This role will require some time on the tools but more about developing your team, driving performance, and ensuring smooth daily operations.

Ihre Qualifikationen

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, support, and develop a small team of operators
  • Plan and manage daily workload to meet output and quality targets
  • Coach and train team members to build skills and flexibility
  • Monitor performance, using KPIs to drive engagement and improvement
  • Support production planning and provide regular progress updates
  • Ensure a safe, compliant, and well-organised working environment
  • Troubleshoot issues and support problem resolution
  • Work closely with quality, engineering, and planning teams
  • Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement

Requirements

  • Background in machining (CNC/manual) with practical shop floor experience
  • Previous team leadership or supervisory experience
  • Strong communication and people management skills
  • Ability to motivate, coach, and develop others
  • Good understanding of production processes and quality standards
  • Organised, proactive, and solution-focused
